Jeff Taraschi

If it were possible for anyone to take the pulse of the American public and diagnosis a cure for their buying blues, that person would be Jeff Taraschi.  With more than thirty years of experience analyzing consumer trends, meeting consumer needs, and developing must-have products, Jeff does more than spot trends—he creates them.

Jeff’s career began in the early ‘70’s with an economics degree from Rutgers University and a job with Bamberger’s.  He spent 17 years there learning the essence of retailing, brand building, customer satisfaction, and merchandising.

In 1992, Jeff joined QVC as Senior Vice President of Jewelry.  The idea of selling products directly to consumers through television was an outgrowth of direct marketing and the successful infomercial industry.  Jeff used his background in category management and international sourcing to develop programs that linked merchandise to brands and marketing trends.

In 1996, Jeff founded a branding and product consulting firm, International Business Partners.  His ability to read the pulse of the consumer brought him some of the biggest names in the retailing industry including:  American Gem Corp, Aurafin Corp, LJ International, Relios Jewelry, Zale Corporation, and L’orofo Italiano.

Jeff moved to Hong Kong to work for LJ International. During his residency, he established a multi-tiered business strategy and managed several designer collections and two Chinese factories.

In 1999, Jeff returned to the United States as Executive Vice President of Merchandising, Planning, and Programming for the Home Shopping Network (HSN).  Jeff spearheaded a complete makeover of HSN’s business planning and strategies.  While there, sales growth exceeded 12%.  He was instrumental in attracting new brands including: Marie Claire, Tupperware, Gateway, Compaq, Canon, Rubbermaid, T-Fal, Good Housekeeping, Christopher Lowell, Alouette, Lipofactor, Ecogenics and a host of private label brands.  He was recognized by his industry in 2001 with the Global Retail Award.

Interactive Group Limited is Jeff’s newest successful business. Strong brand images and good products create trust in consumers. There is always a strong pulse in the marketplace if you know where to look and Jeff Taraschi’s thirty years of consulting success is the road to lead you there
